It was obvious from the start that the Diddy prosecution team built a plane that simply wouldn’t fly. We are seeing an epidemic of overcharging in this nation. Justice is delayed or made more expensive simply by prosecutors, reaching for the stars and career advancement. Vague statutes allow creative arguments, and big sentences rack up merit badges on a prosecutor’s chest. Here is a highlight reel of clips where I predicted this outcome and highlighted the myriad of issues with the case. If it was so obvious to me, why was it not so obvious to the talented legal professionals in the department of Justice? Blindness or malice? Meanwhile, your tax dollars pay for these creative prosecutions. It’s just as fraudulent to dump money into an unnecessary prosecution as it is to submit a claim for an unnecessary medical procedure.
